Super Nintendo (SNES, 1991)

The Super Nintendo is a 16 Bit Console released in 1990 in Japan, 1991 in North America and 1992 in Europe. The Super Nintendo is often considered as one of the best consoles of all time with some of the most sought after games ever made. It is more powerful then the original NES with better graphics and sound. The SNES was again extremely successful even though the competition was fierce, the life span not quite as long as it’s predecessor lasting from 1991-1999, all though units were still produced up until 2003. Selling a total of  49 million units world wide with it’s best selling game once again from the popular Mario franchise, Super Mario World sold 20.5 million units.
